Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026. Draft for review before launch.
MetAt helps you keep track of people you meet at events and follow up with them. This page explains what MetAt stores, why, and what control you have. The service is operated by [legal entity], contact bruce@bigideas.me.
What we store
- Your account: email address, name, company and one-line pitch you enter, plan and billing status.
- People you log: names, companies, titles, Telegram usernames, phone numbers, emails, LinkedIn/X/Luma links and notes that you add, import or capture.
- Event data: events, booths and side events you create, their dates, times and the location you pin.
- Connected services, only if you connect them:
- Telegram Business / connected Telegram account: the name, username and Telegram ID of people you start new chats with during your live events, and any photo you send in that chat with the caption or short note you add right after it. We never store the other person's messages. A connected account's login session is stored encrypted and you can end it any time.
- Google Calendar (read-only): the title, time, location and Luma link of calendar events that contain a Luma link. Other calendar events are not stored.
- LinkedIn (via the Chrome extension): connection status, headline and posts mentioning your event, read from pages your own browser opens, at a slow pace.
- Live location: only while you share it with the MetAt bot; only your latest position, deleted when sharing stops.
- AI drafts: the facts used for a follow-up draft (name, company, your notes) are sent to Google's Gemini API to write the draft.
What we never do
- We never send messages, emails or connection requests on your behalf. You review and send every follow-up yourself.
- We never sell personal data or use it for advertising.
- We never show anyone your location; proximity features only say "about 60 m away".
Who processes data for us
- Render (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (sign-in emails), Stripe (payments), Google (Gemini AI drafts, Calendar if connected), Telegram (bot messages).
Your choices
- Disconnect Telegram, Google Calendar or the Chrome extension any time in Settings.
- Delete any contact, or ask us to delete your whole account and data: email bruce@bigideas.me.
- People you've logged can ask you, or us, to remove their details.
Google user data
MetAt's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Calendar data is used only to show your team which Luma events you are registered for.
